Bio

Ya ah teeh.  My name is Loretta Bahe.  My clans are Tachinii, Tohdichiini, Tohbahi, and Toh tsohnii, respectfully.  I was born and raised in Keams Canyon, Arizona. I am an alumni of Many Farms High School in Many Farms, Arizona. I have a Navajo traditional upbringing through my father’s teachings, prayers, and songs.

After obtaining my associates degree from Dine’ College, I felt the urge to further my education while raising my family at Northern Arizona University.  It was the most ultimate decision I have ever made to demonstrate for my children about real-life real-world experiences.

After graduating from NAU I worked in the educational field.  My previous places of employment was working with Native American students at St Johns Unified School District and at Wide Ruins Community School residential setting.

I have made my standpoint at Valley High School with the Sanders Unified School District for the past nine years. I have been a certified substitute teacher at VHS for several courses.  As being a Long Term substitute teacher, I taught courses in geometry, SPED math, Spanish, music, English, and Credit Recovery.

Accordingly, my focus is to assist high school students with their educational endeavors whom I perceive as young adults. They are reminded daily of their responsibility of being a student first. It is my best interest to make a difference in the lives of these young adults through their high school education.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at VHS at 928-688-4200. I may also be contacted at lorettabahe@sandersusd.net.
